Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our website (https://www.micro1.ai) and related services. For candidates using our AI interviewer (Zara), please also review our separate Privacy Notice for Candidates.

Information We Collect

From All Users:

  • Account information (name, email, company details).

  • IP addresses and location data.

From Employers/Clients:

  • Company information and hiring requirements.

How to Opt Out;

We believe in giving you control over your personal data. If you wish to opt out of the use of AI Products, please contact us using the details provided in the 'Contact Us' section of this Privacy Policy.

Our use of your Social Logins

You can register or log in using your third-party social media account (e.g., Facebook or X). When you do this, we may receive profile information such as your name, email, profile picture, and other public data from your account.

We only use this information as described in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise made clear at the time. We do not control how third-party platforms use your data. Please review their privacy policies to understand how they collect and use your information.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. 

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). 

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

Minors or Children’s Data

We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or sell personal data of individuals under 18. By using our Services, you confirm you are at least 18 or have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

If you are located in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you may complain to your Member State data protection authority or UK data protection authority.

If you are located in Switzerland, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.

Withdrawing your consent

If we rely on your consent to process personal data, you may withdraw this consent at any time—whether express or implied, as permitted by law. To withdraw consent, contact us using the details provided in the “Contact Us” section.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal, or where lawful grounds other than consent apply.

Opting out of marketing and promotional communications

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails, replying “STOP” or “UNSUBSCRIBE” to SMS messages, or contacting us using the details provided in the “Contact Us” section. We may still send you service-related communications necessary for account administration or support.

Account Information

To review, update, or delete your account information, you can:

  • Log in to your account settings and update your user profile.

Upon your request to delete your account, we will deactivate or delete your account and remove it from our active databases. However, we may retain certain information to prevent fraud, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, or enforce our terms.

Request Verification

We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Authorized agents must provide written permission from you.

Appeals

California "Shine The Light" Law

California residents may request, once per year and free of charge, a list of third parties we shared personal data with for marketing. To submit a request, contact us using the details in the "Contact Us" section.

Depending on your country or state of residence, you may have the right to access the personal data we collect, review how we have used it, correct inaccuracies, delete your information, or withdraw your consent. These rights may be limited by applicable law.
